Trustee Fees for Estates $5M+
This fee schedule applies to trust estates with a gross market value of $5,000,000 or greater. Trustee fees are calculated based on the trust’s gross market value at month-end and collected monthly in arrears.
Fees are recalculated monthly and may increase or decrease based on changes in the trust’s gross market value.

Probate Administration Fees
Statutory probate fees for customary services are authorized under Probate Code §10810, and are computed on a fee base comprised of gross assets, plus receipts and gains, less losses, on the following schedule:
- 4% of the first $100,000
- 3% of the next $100,000
- 2% of the next $800,000
- 1% of the next $9,000,000
- 0.5% of the next $15,000,000
- Court discretion after $25,000,000
In addition to statutory fees, pursuant to Probate Code §10811, extraordinary fees can be requested for services such as tax issues, real property sales and litigation. Though subject to court approval, extraordinary services are charged at the following hourly rates:

Meet and Greet
Please note: This meeting is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, or tax advice.
- $50.00 per hour at Fiduciary’s Office or Video Call**
- $150.00 per hour travel to client**
15-minute telephone call – FREE
**Minimum billed: 1 hour, then 30-minute increments thereafter
Other professionals may need to be retained: In the capacity retained to serve, the Fiduciary may be required to contract, retain, hire or engage the services of Attorneys, Tax Professionals, Investment Managers, Medical Care Managers, Doctors, Professional Organizers, Realtors, Mortgage Brokers, Investigators or other Professionals that are contracted with providers outside of Uptown Fiduciary Services, Inc. and paid directly from client funds. All Income Tax Return preparation & Tax Accounting are prepared by contract providers outside of Uptown Fiduciary Services, Inc. and paid directly from client funds. Since Uptown Fiduciary Services, Inc. is not a law office, legal services are paid to outside attorneys directly from client funds, with court approval if so required.
Limits of Liability, Acts of God, Disclaimer, Waiver: This office will take the best possible care in performing duties, but client understands that certain matters are beyond this office’s reasonable control, including, but not limited to delays due to acts of God, weather, power outages, interruption of telephone or Internet service, computer malfunctions, and delays caused by others. Provided that this office exercises ordinary care in providing its fiduciary services, client waives any claims for damages resulting from the Fiduciary’s or Uptown Fiduciary Services, Inc. acts or omissions, except damage or injury resulting from gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Bonding: Professional Fiduciaries may be required to be bonded for the liquid assets under management if so requested by the client, court or the client’s counsel. The cost of bond will be paid directly from the client’s account (trust, estate or other).
Document Retention/Destruction Policy: Seven (7) years after the closure/discharge from a case, all retained client/case records, emails, files, be they physical, electronic or other will be securely deleted, shredded, erased or otherwise destroyed.
*Basis for Real Property sales commission: California Probate Code §10800 and §10801 authorize reasonable fiduciary fees, including commissions on property sales.
